The clips we used were from our trip last year but still evergreen content. Trip Date: April 8-14, 2017

*** NOTE: We just started out with vlogging at this time so we have very limited first-person talk clips for our Spring series.

We took the subway train to Everland, it's a theme park in Gyeonggi-do province but only about an hour away from Seoul. But more than a theme park, it's actually also a zoo, so if you like animals, or seeing wildlife you haven't encountered before - like polar bears, hyaenas, penguins, or pandas, come check out Everland.

You can go here during their tulip festival which happens in Spring time for a few weeks. Nothing fancy, just a lot of tulips near the entrance.

We're actually thinking of going back there on our next trip since we were mostly only able to visit the Zootopia area of Everland

BEST TIME TO VISIT EVERLAND

It's an Outdoor Theme park and Summer is the peak time when school kids are on break.

Springtime or Fall season is best, but choose the less colder times.
I wouldn't suggest Winter (not sure if it's open at that time) but rides would tend to be affected by weather. Anything with cables can be halted when wind is strong - so cable cars can be temporary stopped.

Like with any theme park, weekdays are always best to avoid big crowds.

Get there as early as you can to avoid the larger crowds that arrive by 10am. At least you get to ride a couple of good ones before then.

HOW TO GET TO EVERLAND

*BY SUBWAY*: No special transportation tickets are required for your subway ride to Everland. Your T-Money card is enough. Fare will be around 2450-3350KRW (Approx US$2.2-3.5 to date) from Myeongdong to Jondae Everland station. Fare difference depends on the route (lesser transfers are cheaper). Travel time is approx 2 hours.

Once you get to Jondae Everland station. Just cross the overpass and look for the Free Everland Shuttle Bus.

*BY BUS*: Public buses that go directly to Everland are available near Gangnam, Jamsil, and Sadang Station. Travel time is approx 1.5 - 2 hours from Gangnam. For more info, check this link - http://bit.ly/2HJNu1B

I'd avoid this option during peak seasons because of the crowd.

There are also Shuttle Bus Services available for a roundtrip fee of 12000KRW (approx US$11.5). Pickup points are available in prominent locations. One way tickets are NOT available.

Klook has a convenient offer though where you can get a discounted roundtrip shuttle bus service and a highly discounted Everland entrance deal. Check it out here - http://rcl.ink/lc9

WHERE TO PURCHASE EVERLAND TICKETS

Ticket Price onsite by the time of writing is 54,000KRW (approx US$50) for a one day ticket or 84,000KRW (approx US$77.5) for a 2-day ticket.

Night tickets are also available for 45000 (approx US$41.5)

Q-Passes are also available (for bypassing long queues) for an additional 10,000KRW (approx US $9) per ride.

Purchasing online is usually 30-40% cheaper than on site.
We got ours for US$30 each. (discount is usually only available to non-Koreans).

You can get one from Klook - http://rcl.ink/lcZ

Once you get to the gate, just show your eticket from your phone and they will scan it. No need to print anything. If you're traveling alone, I suggest printing a copy in case your phone battery dies.
