The Kinabatangan River | Gift to the Earth | The Amazon of the East - Borneo Documentary, Part 2

Descending from the highlands, wildlife photographer Cede Prudente and boatman Rizal continue their journey down the Kinabatangan River. Cede checks out a trap set to capture the elusive Clouded Leopard. We then meet a man dedicated to rescuing Sun Bears from the illegal pet trade and repatriating them back into the wild. We witness the phenomenon of two million wrinkly bats leaving their cave for their nightly feed as well as the raptors waiting to prey on them. Cede also meets Rizal’s family and witnesses the duality of life along the river for the locals, where land clearing and agriculture are required to sustain a living.
