'Colourful clouds chasing the moon' - beautiful piano cover. I heard this piece a couple of weeks ago and thought it was so lovely and charming that I had to learn it. So here it is! It's not a perfect take but I'm sure you'll enjoy it💖 'Colourful clouds chasing the moon' composed in 1935 is a miniature that I'd describe maybe as an encore piece. It was written by Ren Guang (1900-1941), an early 20th century Chinese composer. Interestingly Ren studied in Paris and you can certainly hear some Debussy-esque sounds married with the Chinese traditional. It was written for Chinese instrumental ensemble and was luckily for us, transcribed for piano in 1975. I'm very surprised that I'd never heard before. I've loved learning this and hope you enjoy it.
