‘Mysterious Item’ Easter Egg on Ashika Island!
In this video i wanted to share with you a brand new easter egg that’s just been added onto Ashika Island today and I’m stoked to be able to say that i was one of the first people to figure out and complete it along with Mr Fishy Mcfish and Flintandsteel007. So massive shoutout to both of you guys for helping out!
So basically the way that this works is that there are 3 different mysterious items that be found around the main castle grounds on ashika island. Although when you pick them up they display as a katana in your backpack, what these actually are, are different japanese style masks just like the ones you can find in DMZ.
So each of these masks have their own area around the castle where they’ll spawn and inside of those areas there are different locations again where you could actually find the mask.
So for the red mask one location it could be is where the bombmaker is located in DMZ, right in that that very top room of the castle on this computer table, Another is the next level down just sitting in this sort of display case and the other possible spawn is on the lowest level next to the weapon lockers but its not actually on the lockers it will be located on this other shelf.
The green mask will either spawn on the side of this bulldozer which is just north of main castle kind of near the residential area but still within the castle grounds, The other is in the building next to just on this drum or you’ll find it hanging on the side of the weapon lockers in this same building.
The White mask we were only able to find one spawn location for which is just side of this well, sort of to the east of the main castle.
Once you collect all 3 or you can do it one mask at a time, you’ll need to take them to this smaller building right next to the main castle and place them down on this alter.
Once you place the 3rd mask you’ll trigger what’s called the final test and a few waves of AI will spawn, This includes the new AI type that was added called the rusher as well as a few heavys.
After you’ve taken them all out and completed the trial, you’ll be rewarded with a bunch of cash as well as a free loadout marker.
Overall it’s a pretty sweet little easter egg you can do on ashika but it would really be nice if we started getting easter eggs with blueprint rewards like we used to.
