Today I glue up some staves that do not line up in the middle.
Staves are similar to segments. It is all about grain direction.
Making a glue up with segments or staves that do not line up in the middle can make an interesting look.
They are glued up tangent to a larger diameter on top and a smaller one on the bottom.
The idea came from an article in a American Wood Turner magazine
