Salento, Colombia is in the heart of the coffee growing region. Located in the beautiful Andes Mountains, I think this town is a must see for anyone visiting Colombia. Every house and building is painted bright colours that make each unique and absolutely picture perfect. Salento has become a popular destination for backpackers, and all travellers, as a base for touring coffee farms and hiking the nearby Cocora Valley. In addition to the gorgeous brightly coloured homes, you'll immediately notice all the Willy's Jeeps around town. They are the only taxis around and so much fun to drive around in.
