我々の身体は約37兆個の細胞から出来ていますが、1個の細胞の大きさは1ミリの1/100程度で肉眼では見えません。その中で働くタンパク質分子の大きさは細胞の1/1000。小さすぎて顕微鏡でも見えません。「細胞の中で働く分子の姿が見たい！」そんな夢をかなえる超すごい顕微鏡の話をしたいと思います。

Discrete equations, such as recurrence relations, have long been commonly used to describe natural phenomena, but compared to differential equations, the mathematics required to analyze discrete systems is still poorly understood. This talk will introduce the mathematical role and curious properties of what are called "discrete dynamical systems," and explain their deep connections to other areas of mathematics.
