Honda EX1000 Disassembled 20 Years Ago - Will It Run and Make Power Again?

A subscriber sent me his Honda EX1000 Generator. 20 years ago, it stopped making power. He brought it to the local Honda dealer who disassembled the powerhead and told him it needed a new stator. They told him it would be cheaper to buy new. He declined to have it repaired and instead took it home in parts and stored it for 20 years. He sent it to me as a parts machine. But before stealing parts from it, lets double check the diagnosis. Will it run and make power again?

I use Harbor Freight Super Heavy Duty Degreaser in my ultrasonic cleaner.
