FIRST DRIVE! 2023 AUDI RS5 SPORTBACK COMPETITION - FASTER, LIGHTER, MORE AGILE - In Detail

And so it’s finally time to jump into the new and updated 2023 RS5 Sportback Competition pack. I was invited to the first Press launch in the lovely Ascari in Spain and pushed it to the limit.
For those of you that forgot, RS5 Sportback Competition pack is:
- The car is 8 kg / 17.6 lbs lighter
- A completely newly developed quattro sport differential. A new data set in the control unit with changed parameters switches the emphasis to the rear- Updated software in the transmission unit
- New optional coilover suspension that lowers the car up to 20mm more than the stock RS5- A new RS sports exhaust system plus, used for the first time, to improve the sound experience- Reduced insulation between engine compartment and the interior - Matte carbon lightweight exterior details- Improved acceleration for the RS5 by 0.1sec and the RS4 Avant by 0.2 sec- Shortened braking distance from 100kmh by 2 meters- Improved top speed is now 290km/h- Dynamic steering ratio fixed at 1:13.1- New 20” competition pack wheels- Dinamica / Pearl kappa interior material that is 45 percent recycled PET fibres
