Orchestral Kirby - Fountain of Dreams & Nightmare Battle

Welcome to my fifth orchestration in the Orchestral Kirby series. This series is dedicated to Kirby's Adventure, the 1993 NES platform game by HAL. The particular themes of this edition featured in level 8 "Fountain of Dreams" and were written by Hirokazu Ando & Jun Ishikawa.

The music presented here is an arrangement for piano and orchestra. Because the original music to Fountain of Dreams was very brief, I wrote a series of variations on this theme. These variations can be heard at the opening of this video. The theme goes through various keys, tempi and instrumentations before the music transitions towards the music of the end battle. At this point in the game Kirby fights the nightmare orb. Unfortunately, I felt the music here wasn't fit for orchestration. I therefore fused the variations on the Fountain of Dreams theme to the music of the second end battle using a musical bridge of my own. The video ends with my orchestral adaption of the music that accompanied the second, lunar battle with the Nightmare.
