The English Department at Oregon State University is called the School of Writing, Literature, and Film, and as this name suggests, our faculty recognize the importance of deep reading, textual analysis, creative expression, applied and persuasive writing, and research skills across a variety of media. The training our graduate and undergraduate students receive prepares them for challenging careers in a globally interconnected, information-rich, and humanly complex world.
