ストーリー:
バクテリアン軍との戦いから2年。平和をとりもどした惑星グラディウスに、再び危機が迫りつつあった。宇宙空間にとつじょ現れた謎の生命体"ライフフォース"。それは、あらゆる物質を吸収し成長を続ける超生命体なのだ。このままでは、グラディウスが吸収されてしまう！ 人々は、超時空ファイター"ビックバイパー"に、最後の望みを託した･･････。
