A ride on a JR West 221 Series EMU on a Yamatoji Line Rapid service. The train is running from JR Namba (Osaka) to Nara. The 221 series EMU have a glass bulkhead wall, which allows passengers to see past the Driver to the line ahead. Unfortunately I had a lot of sun glare on the trip, so I apologise for the picture quality.
The video starts just after the train has joined the Osaka Loop line between Namba and Imamiya. We run express through Imamiya before stopping at Shinimamiya. Between Shinimamiya and Tennoji, the sun glare was so bad that I have had to edit it out (about 90 seconds of footage). We pick up again arriving at Tennoji, before running express to Kyuhoji, where I left the train.
