Ten of Swords Upright: Feeling stabbed in the back. Hurt in a profound way. Beating yourself up. Can be overkill, obsessing over all the hurts done to you. Feeling paralyzed, stuck, pinned down. Accepting a defeat. A long, difficult journey has reached its conclusion and you may be feeling betrayed, or like you lost, or that you are a failure. Someone making things worse than they actually are, over dramatizing. The sun is rising on a new day in the distance...or setting on this painful cycle. Either way, this entire experience is coming to an end, if you let it.

Ten of Swords Upright Best Course of Action: Accept that it is over but look at what got you here. Examine whether you are engaging in obsessive behavior, being overly negative. Are you making things worse than they actually are? Yes, you have been hurt. Explore what is real and what is imagined. You may be overreacting...it only takes one sword to kill, not ten.

Ten of Swords Reversed: A painful situation coming to an end. Letting go of negative thinking or behavior. Getting over a hurt or betrayal. Getting ready to stand up and embrace a new day, process or experience. Beginning to heal.

Ten of Swords Reversed Best Course of Action: Let the negative thoughts go. Let the pain go. Time to begin the process of moving on. Get off your own back, especially about what would-should-could have been. You have survived. Prepare to move on to the new day. This cycle is over.
