Learn how to stop binge-eating for life and finally overcome binge-eating with this video.
Binge eating affects so many people and is incredibly difficult to get rid of. Experiencing a binge eating episode causes people to eat abnormally large amounts of food, regardless of hunger or pleasure.
This often results in feelings of guilt or shame. Sometimes, it comes with an urge to compensate for the excessive food intake by vomiting.
Thankfully, there are some strategies you can put in place to reduce these episodes.
In this video, I talk about some ways to overcome binge-eating.
First off, eat full, healthy meals. This will help you break the binge-eating cycle.
You should also try to stick to an eating schedule. This will help prevent skipping meals, which leads to deprivation and binging.
Another tip is to forget the diet mentality. You might not even realize it, but being engrained in diet culture may cause you to restrict food, which then causes you to binge-eat. Let go of your constant control.
Furthermore, really try not to see weight gain as the end of the world.
Here's what you should be doing: eating healthy, balanced meals with plenty of whole foods, not excessively consuming calories, staying active, and making sure you are healthy on a physical and emotional scale.
Finally, I also recommend mindful eating and a way to get back in touch with your hunger and satiety cues and regain control over your eating habits.
Remember that if you binge eat, you are not alone, and should never feel ashamed. Try to implement these tips and don't hesitate to seek medical help.
