As a tribute to this game and the incredible score by David Wise, I've taken on the task of remastering every song. Each track has been run through audio editing software to bring out the richness and fidelity of the instruments, and then run through again to widen the stereo soundscape. What's produced is a more immersive and epic listening experience.

Of the three Donkey Kong Country games, Donkey Kong Country 2 seems to be everyone’s favorite, myself included. I may have spent more time as a kid playing Donkey Kong Country 3 (and that soundtrack will be remastered soon), since that was only one that we owned, but I’ve always thought that 2 had the best theming and soundtrack.
I’ve always enjoyed the “darker” feeling of this game compared to the others in the Country series. This is due to musical styling, such as the ominous sound of ‘Welcome to Crocodile Isle’, the base heavy sounds of ‘Bayou Boogie’, the urgency of Lockjaw’s Saga’ and ‘Flight of the Zinger’, the synthesizer pads of ‘Stickerbush (or Stickerbrush, since Donkey Kong Land 2) Symphony’, and more. David Wise really did an amazing job, and the popularity of the soundtrack, even 25 years later, is a testament to that.
