What can the movie Star Wars tell us about how to write a narrative arc? What does a narrative arc mean? Playwright and OSU Lecturer David Turkel answers these screenwriting questions using examples from Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Game of Thrones. The short video offers students a glimpse into his screenwriting teaching and provides a sense of how narrative arcs operate in fractal-like ways in popular storytelling. The video was created by Oregon State University's E-Campus for his class WR 252: "Introduction to Screenwriting." Warren Blyth created the beautiful animations.
