[1] Soak the chestnuts in water overnight.
(You can also soak them in lukewarm water (about 35°C) for 30 minutes.)
This process will soften the chestnut skin (the hard outer skin) a little and make it easier to peel.
[2]Cut off the chestnut hips with a knife and remove the hard outer skin of the chestnut with a knife.
[3]Remove the astringent skin (thin skin) with the knife. Soak the peeled pieces in water.
