Gena Hoyer, the mother of Parkland murder victim Luke Hoyer, testified during Nikolas Cruz's sentencing for killing 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on February 14, 2018. Gena wept as she told jurors that Luke was her "surprise baby" and her life will never be the same. She said she wears the cross that Luke wore every day.
