How To Make A Solar Cigarette Lighter

Today, I show you how to make a solar cigarette lighter. This is the same design of soda can solar igniter that I've demonstrated several times before.
While the name suggests it's for lighting cigarettes, this solar lighter is incredibly versatile. You can use it to ignite many other types of tinders and chars as well. It's a handy tool to have, especially if you're into camping, hiking, or just love DIY projects.
1) Any aluminum can will work for this project.
2) Buy Blue Magic Metal Polish Cream at any auto parts store for about $12.00.
3) Polish the bottom of the can. It can take 3 polishings to get the right mirror finish.
4) It's ready to use. Find the hottest part of the focal point on your finger first.
5) Put the cigarette or the tinder in front of that focal point and watch as our very powerful Sun quickly ignites it.
