Public Media Art "Whale #2" by a'strict

a'strict, a collaborative media artist unit formed by d'strict, showcased public media artworks titled 'Whale #2'(2021) in New York City's Times Square in July 2021.
'Whale #2' occupies a 1,400㎡-large screen, Illuminating the pedestrian plaza at the center of the iconic Times Square, transforming the electronic display board into a hyperrealistic three-dimensional space where waves are crashing down on a majestic blue whale.
d’strict will continuously publish various sensuous art contents in the form of public media art.

디스트릭트의 미디어아티스트 유닛 '에이스트릭트'는 2021년 7월 뉴욕 타임스스퀘어에서 공공미술 작품 'Whale #2'(2021)를 선보였습니다.
'Whale #2'는 타임스스퀘어 중심에 위치한 광장(Pedestrian Plaza)을 밝히는 약 1400㎡ 크기의 전광판 전체를 입체적 공간으로 바꿔, 파도의 움직임에 따라 역동적으로 춤추는 고래의 형상을 초현실적으로 연출한 작품입니다.
디스트릭트는 다양한 퍼블릭 미디어에 활용될 수 있는 감각적인 아트 콘텐츠를 지속적으로 선보일 예정입니다.
