Experience the Allure of Italian Trains in France! Frecciarossa Journey from Paris to Milan

Thank you for watching a Yukkuri Kagekidan video. Upon arriving in Paris, France, via the German Railways' international high-speed train ICE, we found ourselves swept into the city's allure. Although we spent several days enjoying the must-see sights of Paris, our video journey continues without pause, as we embark on our next adventure aboard the 'Frecciarossa 1000', an Italian train that commenced its service into France in December 2021.

As we navigated through the stylish and quintessentially European atmosphere of Paris's station, a bold and flashy red contender from Italy, asserting its presence, caught our eye. This train serves as a high-speed connection between Paris and Milan, Italy.

Our previous video highlighted the ICE, a high-speed train running from Frankfurt, Germany, to Paris, a cooperative operation between the German and French railways. However, this Frecciarossa sets itself apart as a fierce competitor, challenging the French national railway company head-on, akin to the rivalry seen with airlines and long-distance buses.

Why do we see cooperation between certain railway services and stark competition with others? We delve into the reasons behind these dynamics, discussing the background and shifts in European transportation regulations that give rise to such scenarios. However, the French railways did not stand idle against the new, cutting-edge Frecciarossa's entry. In response, they introduced variants of the TGV equipped with the latest seats and on-board facilities, enhanced convenience at stations, and improved various services.

Additionally, the Frecciarossa 1000 boasts unique features. Although entirely manufactured in Italy, the train we boarded was produced by 'Hitachi,' known for its acquisition of the Italian train manufacturer 'AnsaldoBreda.' Despite the change in the company's identity, the production of the Frecciarossa 1000 continued, hence the 'Hitachi' branding.

Now, let's embark on the actual journey from Paris to Milan on the Frecciarossa. Covering the distance requires an astonishing seven hours, so we opted for the train's first-class equivalent, the 'Executive' class. The interior exudes luxury, adorned with champagne gold and featuring large, leather-upholstered seats. Amenities include extensive magazine racks and electric reclining seats. The Frecciarossa's 'Executive' class doesn't just stop at lavish fixtures. It offers an array of dining services reminiscent of international business class flights, allowing passengers to indulge in meals and wine without leaving their seats.

Our Frecciarossa, departing for Milan from Paris at 7 AM, was packed from the get-go at Gare de Lyon, with every seat taken, from standard to premium, with a multitude of passengers. Leaving Paris on time, we felt the promise of an exciting journey ahead, a continuation you'll see in our next video. Our trio of guide characters is set on reaching their destination: Milan, Italy. Stay tuned!
