主塔 －明石海峡大橋－
世界一の明石海峡大橋の主塔を建設するにおいて最大の課題は、風への対策であった。
何度となく風洞試験や制震装置（TMD）実験を繰り返し研究実験を重ねた。
現場における施工は過酷な条件下の中、高精度を求められるものであったが、
多くの土木技術者の英知を結集することにより、天高く明石海峡に聳え立った。
