Title: Achronal Averaged Null Energy Condition for extremal horizons and (A)dS

Abstract: The achronal Averaged Null Energy Condition (ANEC) is a conjectured bound on the stress tensor in semi-classical gravity that has deep implications for both gravitational and quantum theories. While several arguments have been given in favor of this condition, concrete and general proofs are so far only available in Minkowski. In this talk I explain how the achronal ANEC can be explicitly derived using quantum information theory for general QFTs in the near horizon of extremal black holes, de Sitter and anti-de Sitter.
